OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL PREMIERE (Video)- Sam Raimi‘s adventure fantasy prerequisite to The Wizard of Oz would not be complete without a few witches. In the new film, Oz the Great and Powerful we learn more about the Wicked Witch of the West, played by Mila Kunis, as well as the Wicked Witch of the East, Rachel Weisz, who was merely black and white tights and ruby red slippers in the 1939 film. Of course, with evil comes good, which is where Michelle Williams‘ character of Glinda, The Good Witch of the South, comes back into play. In their interviews, both Williams and Weisz fawn over the costumes in this film and explain how their character’s wardrobe really played into their personality.
PLOT: A small-time magician with questionable ethics arrives in a magical land and must choose between becoming a good man or a great one.
